Ingredients
2 slices Dempster’s® Healthy Way® with ProCardio Recipe™
Wheat Variety bread
2 tsp non-hydrogenated margarine
2 slices lean, low sodium, oven roasted turkey breast
1 thin slice Cheddar cheese
3 thin slices of Granny Smith apple
Preparation
Spread margarine over one side of each bread slice. Arrange one slice, margarine side down on work surface. Top with Cheddar, turkey and apple slices. Cover with remaining bread slice, margarine side up, over top of apples to make a sandwich.
In a non-stick skillet, over medium hot heat, brown sandwich until bread is golden brown on both sides and cheese has melted, about three minutes per slide. Let cool slightly before serving, or let cool completely and pack into lunch bag.
